ReactKingGame guide
How to play ReactKing
ReactKing is a one-on-one reaction game. Both players receive the same server-controlled signal, and the fastest valid reaction wins.
Playing a match
- Join the queue.ReactKing searches for another available player and widens the rating range while you wait.
- Wait for the signal. The arena changes state after a randomized delay. Do not press early.
- React once.Press as quickly as possible after the signal. The server validates both reactions and determines the result.
Wins, draws, and false starts
A press before the signal is a false start and loses the round immediately. Reactions below 60 milliseconds are treated as implausible and rejected. Valid reactions within five milliseconds of each other produce a draw; otherwise, the lower reaction time wins.
Ranked play
Registered players begin at 1,000 Elo. Ranked results adjust both players' ratings using an Elo system with a K-factor of 32. Guests can play immediately, but their temporary rating lasts only for the server session and they do not appear on the permanent leaderboard.
Challenges and tournaments
Direct challenge links create unranked matches between friends. Tournament battles use a multi-round series and advance the winner through the bracket. Tournament results do not change ranked Elo.
Fair play
ReactKing records authoritative timing and outcomes on the server. Automated input, altered clients, coordinated result manipulation, and attempts to generate artificial rankings are not permitted.
